Install the CLI

Install the Starter Foundry CLI

Install the StarterFoundry CLI with one paste per platform. It uses only tools already on the machine. No extra installers and no administrator step.

On Windows, prefer Windows Subsystem for Linux: open Ubuntu and use the Ubuntu paste. The Windows paste is for native PowerShell. They are different installs.

Ubuntu 24.04 (including WSL)

After the Windows paste, close this window and open a new terminal before running the CLI.

To update the tool later, run starterfoundry self-update.
